It had been a while since I last actively looked at trends on style.com. I used to do this for school (styling), but after that I never really seemed to have the time and I thought that I was gonna pick up the trends from the street anyway.

However, now that I actually checked out the designer shows again, I must say that it really inspired me and I must admit that it really helps me figuring out what to wear. I mean, I am a stylist and blogger so I should always be able to tell what to wear, but there have been some extreme changes in fashion and I felt like I didn’t really fit in.

For example, the flare pants! I loved it, but just didn’t really see it on myself at first (now I do by the way!). Or the rushes and frills. I saw them back in 2013, but here they are again and somehow to me it felt like an old trend that I didn’t wanna go back to. Watching the shows however really helped me see the good in some trends and helped me translate it to something 2016/2017 and something I can appreciate in my wardrobe.

The flare sleeves that I am wearing here are just like that. I have really come to love it and I can appreciate the lace and turtleneck detail in this dress as well. It’s funny how sometimes you have to see things a few more times before you love it. And now, there is no turning back!

“In my own little world, I’m a fashion unicorn,
In the big big world, I can be even more”

I will be keeping track of the shows a little more, for it will always have me being one step ahead of myself. How do you guys keep up with trends?
