MILAN FASHION WEEK: ERMANNO SCERVINO SHOW
When I got an invitation for Milan Fashion Week I was thrilled. I was even more excited cause it was the show of Ermanno Scervino of which I had seen amazing images of previous collections. Still, I could not have foreseen that the collection would surprise me this much. Let me tell you about how this show met all my expectations and beyond…
Now, there is one thing one must know before I go any further… just seconds before I entered Palazzo Serbelloni where the show would take place, I let my phone fall into pieces. Reason to be agitated and extremely sad. But like a real fashion businesswoman I had no time to grieve; I was attending a wonderful show! So I grabbed my phone (and myself) together and ran back to my boyfriend to borrow his phone, cause the only thing I could think of were the pictures and videos I wanted to make of the show.
So now the question is rising: was it the tension of my phone being broken, the excitement of my first fashion show in Milan or just an extremely amazing collection that had me speechless every time a new look took over the runway? I think it must have been the latter.
Ermanno Scervino did an amazing job with these feminine chique pieces that had a clean cut and edgy vibe just the way I like it. I saw double breasted oversized coats, jacquard prints, transparent details, lace dresses, elegant lasercuts and even a touch of fur. This collection seemed made for the modern-day independent woman with class. With colors as white, black, khaki and pink however, these pieces are all very wearable. When they played the song “high by the beach” from Lana del Rey I was completely sold and decided I’d have to add this designer to my list of favorites. Cause his style matches mine perfectly!
I feel honored to have been able to attend this show and already look forward to next year. On one hand because these pieces show what next summer in fashionland looks like and on the other hand because I would love to see what Ermanno is sweeping me off my feet with next year.
I’ve selected some of my favorites for you to check out. Let me know what you think!
