LONDON FASHION WEEK OUTFIT: SPLIT UP
Part of the fun of the international fashion weeks is all the buzz around it: the paparazzi, the fashion scene, street style, the appointments, the fun with friends. Wearing the right outfit is then just a small part of it, but oh so important…
Like I wrote in my previous blog post, I find it important to wear something just a little more intriguing during fashion week, especially international fashion weeks like London. Not only cause I don’t want to underdress, but also since fashion weeks give you the opportunity to showcase yourself to the fashion scene and above all, it’s the place where everything is possible. So I was happy to pick up this amazing turtleneck top/dress from Tony Cohen in the showroom to wear it to the Burberry Venue.
Determined to give paparazzi a great shot, me and my friends walked up the spot as if we were the most important people in the world (please bare with me, I don’t mean to be cocky, but a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do). Still, I was surprised that when we crossed the street, a row of photographers was standing on the other side of the street, just clicking away until we were standing right in front of them.
Quasi-careless, we walked on and on, being photographed all the way. “What’s your name?” “What are you wearing” where the only questions relevant there. I was also being interviewed a few times. It’s all very surreal, but fun. At the same time, when I look back at it, it seems superficial, but in the end this is what the industry is about: outfits!
So of course, when I got back home, I’ve been searching the web for pictures of me in my so called amazing outfits. But I haven’t found a lot of them. I wonder if photos will be spread across magazines in Europe or even worldwide. Will I even know? If you pick up on something, ring my bell. Cause I’d like to know if all the show offs have actually . At least I had fun!
