Momma jeans

Boyfriend jeans, mom jeans. I’m starting to wonder what granny jeans and dad jeans would look like. Boyfriend jeans aren’t really my thing anymore, but I looove mom jeans, like te one I am wearing in this post.

Isn’t it funny that the things we don’t like in one year become super hot in the next? Fashion is almost like Karma, saying: “So you don’t like me? Well, here I am, in your face, and you wíll like me.” This happend with skinny jeans and dungarees and now we have the mom jeans of which I wasn’t a fan a few years ago, while nowadays I love it! I’m especially fan of the high waist and the loose but feminine fit.

As you can see, here, I went for a total laid-back look. I must say that I have been hesitating about what shoes to wear with these jeans. I almost always combine boyfriend jeans with high heels to give it a more feminine touch, but somehow that didn’t seem to match these mom jeans. I think that the chunky boots are just a lot cooler.

I don’t think you will see me wearing a check printed blouse open like I did here more often, but somehow this worked for me within this look. Again, it’s just to enhance the cool laid-back vibe. And yes, I finally scored a back pack. I thought it was a pity that they didn’t have it in black, but I must say that this brown one adds just another warm color to the ensemble.
